The must do skills course for personal development for expedition travel in most polar regions and winter glacial terrain. Led by Rob Smith, a renowned polar expedition traveller and mountaineer, this 4-day course is based out of Finse, Norway on the Hardangerjokulen. Aimed to grow your confidence on glaciers with a focus on crevasse rescue and safety. Polar expeditions to Greenland, Iceland, Arctic Canada, Svalbard and Antarctica commonly travel on glaciers with crevassed areas. Be prepared. Build your confidence, skills and safety.
Course content will be tailored to the snow, ice and weather conditions at the time of the course.
